HATE HURTS™
Hate Hurts is an education program for junior and senior high school students, staff and their support systems. Our program focuses on diversity, inclusion, and hate/bias. We provide valuable skill development and tools that can be put to use today. Anti-Discrimination Response and Bystander Intervention Training lead a powerful lineup of classes designed to foster a safe environment and equip students to deal with the issues they face. Hate Hurts is unique in its messaging - we take a pro-active approach to tackle the root causes of behavior that has an adverse effect on students and the school community. Workshops and training are available for staff, parent associations, community members and others looking to gain skills and knowledge in this area.

CORPORATE TRAINING
Choose from a variety of workshops that explore key vocabulary and concepts used in the area of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Training/Workshops Include:

Fostering Respectful and Inclusive dialogue at work while exploring topics such as microaggressions and the Intent vs. Impact.

Let's Talk Bias and Assumptions. Exploring unconscious, explicit and confirmation bias and how they seep into our daily interactions with others.

Anti- Discrimination Response Training. Participants will explore through scenario based learning a wide range of verbal and behavioral responses when encountered by hate and other forms of discrimination. Tools will also be provided to help participants develop their "response ability" or readiness to respond to racism and/or discrimination.

FOSTERING SAFE SPACES
IN SPORT
Fostering Safe Spaces In Sport is an education program designed to support players, parents, coaches, officials and key players in the sports community. This unique program focuses on the issues of diversity, inclusion and hate/bias while providing valuable skill development and useful tools that can be applied in and out of the game. All players, regardless of their unique differences, have the right to play and enhance skills in their desired sport while feeling safe and respected. Anti-Discrimination Response and Bystander Intervention Training lead a powerful lineup of classes designed to foster a safe environment and equip players to deal with the challenges they face. This program is unique in its messaging - we take a pro-active approach to tackle the root cause of behaviours that have an adverse effect on the sport community as a whole.
Workshops and training are available for players and strongly encouraged for parents, caregivers, coaches, referees and others looking to gain skills and knowledge in this area. Racism and discrimination has no place in sports. It's time to come together and create a safe and inclusive space for all.

FOSTERING RESPECTFUL DIALOGUE & HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS
- PARENT/CAREGIVER WORKSHOP-
This informative and interactive workshop will allow the participants to look inward and self-reflect, while having the opportunity to share stories and listen to examples of the various types of conversations that we are experiencing and types of comments we are overhearing. It can be challenging to know how to respond and/or engage when we overhear comments or statements whether it be in or outside of our homes. Dialogue with our children through various stages of their lives can present questions and/or concerns. Participants will gain a broader level of understanding of the characteristics and signs while exploring strategies around fostering healthy relationships This session will explore some of the current trends and issues being faced including (bias and assumptions, social media and boundaries) This workshop will leave the participants feeling more confident and empowered to engage in difficult conversations as well as be more equipped with skills/tools to foster respectful dialogue.

LET'S TALK BIAS AND ASSUMPTIONS
- BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TRAINING-
Ages 18+
This workshop is for parents, caregivers, community members, staff and anyone else interested in exploring the topic of biases and assumptions. This informative and
interactive workshop will allow the participants to look inward and self-reflect, while having the opportunity to share stories and listen to examples of how bias and assumptions may impact their personal and professional lives.
The second portion of the workshop will discuss discrimination and provide skill development in the area of Bystander Intervention Training. This workshop will leave the participants feeling more confident and empowered to respond to various forms of discrimination while acknowledging that safety comes first.

BUILDING EMPATHY AND NURTURING HEALTHY FRIENDSHIPS
Ages 5 - 7
In this workshop children will have the opportunity to learn and discuss what it means to show empathy as well as explore ways to establish and maintain healthy friendships. Through a variety of interactive, informative, and fun-filled activities they will build new skills and abilities to address bullying in their schools and/or community. This workshop will not only build character, but it will also leave your child feeling more confident to deal with potential issues with their peers.

THE BULLY AND THE BYSTANDER
Ages 8 - 12
This workshop is designed to build confidence and equip children with a variety of tools to respond to bullies and/or potentially unsafe situations. This course will include a
variety of interactive activities as well as scenarios to help to empower each participant in the event of an encounter
with a bully or someone they feel is mistreating them. We will also discuss the risks involved with being a bystander and
the roles and responsibilities that each of us hold to foster a healthy and safe community.

BOUNDARIES AND RESPECTFUL DIALOGUE
Ages 12 - 16
This program provides participants with tangible skills to not only address boundaries but also around encouraging respectful dialogue when with their peers and at home. Setting boundaries is critical to Healthy Relationships with teens. Through scenarios, interactive dialogue and activities the participants will have the opportunity to explore ways to respond to disrespectful behavior and build their confidence through skill development and techniques to build their confidence and leave them feeling empowered to handle a variety of situations that could present safety concerns.
